Country House Nazzano is a typical Tuscany stone family owned farmhouse that accomodation is renovated to a high standard and with respecting the traditional original features. Expect character and intimacy, soft colours and old wooden beams, beautiful fabrics on delicate terracotta tiles floors, well-equipped kitchens and country style antiques.
From Country House Nazzano you have magnificent panoramic views of the Chianti hills with vines and olive groves, with the historic towers of San Gimignano on the horizon. Ideal for holidays in a quiet environment, rich in history and in contact with nature in the heart of Tuscany.
The Accomodation.
In one of our farmhouse style buildings there are two independent apartments that can be interconnected to form accommodation for a large family or a gathering of friends.
Country house nazzano is a couple of kilometres from the medieval village of Certaldo Alto and it reached by a private road surrounded by vines and olive trees. The accommodation is perfectly located in the center of three fantastic Tuscany cities: Florence, Siena (40 km), Pisa (60 km). In the surrounding area there are the beautiful towns and villages of Gambassi Terme (4 km) San Gimignano (10 km), Monteriggioni, Volterra, San Miniato and Vinci (30 km). Local activities.
In this area, especially during the summer, there are numerous cultural, musical and artistic events.
In the second week of July, in Certaldo Alto there is the spectacular festival of 'Mercantia' with its street artists and artisans in every corner of the medieval village. In San Gimignano, during the summer period, there are many cultural and artistic events such as Opera performances.
Throughout the region there is the possibility to taste wines, olive oil, cheese and salami and attend nearby cooking classes in Certaldo and San Gimignano.
As it’s a popular and a unspoiled part of Tuscany, there are numerous restaurants and that provide traditional Tuscan cuisine for all tastes and budgets.
Who we are.
Our names are Carlo and Miriam. We were born in Tuscany and live in nearby Certaldo.
We renovated this property with love, reusing as much as the original materials as possible whilst maintaining all the traditional architectural features of the buildings.
For many years we have been hosting families, couples and groups from all over the world in countryside apartments. During this time we receive many returning guests and many new guests simply by word of mouth.
We enjoy that our guests have the true Tuscan experience with us. Before your stay will be happy to advise you and suggest itineraries of fascinating lesser know places within hidden Tuscany and to give you advice for local excursions, restaurants and are always at hand in case of problems.
